So it’s time to make it official (it’s been long overdue): this is the end of the LUEniverse project. The LUEniverse was an experiment and a project of collaboration between writers of Generation Y, the social networking, technology-hungry crowd that isn’t afraid to share its thoughts.
Unfortunately, the LUEniverse could not overcome a lack of focus and the sheer difficulty of getting writing in on time. The articles were fantastically interesting, though. For that reason, we will keep the LUEniverse page up for posterity. It was my first attempt at blogging, as it was for nearly all of the editors and writers of the LUEniverse, and there was a lot we learned and gained in the process of writing, coding, and enduring ridicule.
So thank you to all of the readers and supporters, to the writers and contributors, and especially to the hard-working editors that put in a ton of time getting this site operational and coordinating with me to make this project into a reality. No regrets.

After two weeks of debugging, testing, and acquiring writers we’re finally launching. We’ve been working hard to bring you the blog that is, in fact, more interesting than your life. Before you read the articles you might be asking: What can I expect? The answer: Anything.
Articles ranging from what beer you should drink to our columnists’ musings on life, and everything in between. Writers here at LUEniverse put in the time and effort to convey their personal messages to the world, but mostly just to our viewers. There are times you might think “What the hell is this guy thinking? I could crap better writing than he’s putting out!” In which case we say, “Great!“ We have provided a place where you can submit your writing samples at the end of each article (or you can just click here). We are very open to all writing styles and opinions.
Don’t forget to comment on the articles, because rather than just the presentation of information, we are all about discussion: finding new viewpoints and standing up for your own. If you disagree with someone, tell them; If you agree, tell them why.
Most of all guys, have fun. Much like the Universe around us, LUEniverse is to be enjoyed, so don’t get too worked up.
Also, if you enjoy the articles, subscribe to our RSS feed. There are tons of cool things you can do with it and it keeps you up to date with what’s going on around here.

This post, the day before the official launch of LUEniverse.com, is a short thank you list to those who have done the most to bring LUEniverse to full speed. I will miss people, and please IM me and yell at me so I can add you.
- Rob: For being there at the start, helping organize people and resources, and being enthusiastic about the entire project.
- “Chronobroc”: For the image work, for the spirit, and for volunteering your time immensely into the project
- “Mahill,” “jib ressurected,” and “Bizzarromonkey”: These three were our primary coders and debuggers, and if you saw the site two weeks ago, you would know they did a great job in fixing this website up. Hopefully we’ll be bug-free in a week or two.
- Jarrod: For all the work you did at the beginning, the help with defending LUEniverse, and the enthusiasm.
- Colin: For always helping and being a very passionate writer
- “BadgerDavis”: You were always there to bounce ideas off of and you are always there, ready and willing to help. You have been integral to LUEniverse being ready for tomorrow.
- “Dancin Jesus”: For the sticky. It helped, really.
- Mazyar: For your advice and knowledge of blogs, it helped prepare LUEniverse for this launch.
- All of the LUEniverse authors: For the work you have done and are about to do. Thank you.
With your help, LUEniverse will entertain readers on the internet and hopefully bring them some new life perspectives. This is the first post made on LUEniverse, 14 days before its official launch. Other posts were made during the time LUEniverse was redesigned and debugged, but this post remains as a monument to the work done by coders, authors, and editors.
